Nigeria Produces Covid-19 Herbal Cure, Submitted for NAFDAC Trials And Approval.


The case of covid-19 is no more news in the ears of Nigerians and the world at large as the cases keeps rising by the day in Nigeria.
A group of researchers at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, has produced a potential COVID – 19 preventive, treatment and management herb named OOU-ANJO ANTI COVID-19 SYRUP.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ganiyu Olatunde, announced this on Tuesday in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State while addressing the members of the press. Prof. Olatunde said "I can assure you that it went through all the necessary protocols that you can have in trying to produce a herbal syrup".
The herbal syrup production is a joint efforts of Anjo and the Department of Medicine Research of the university.”

The acting Director, Research , Linkages and Advancement, of the Institution, Dr Ashidi Joseph, said the remedy was formulated based on results of post-mortem research carried out on those who have died of COVID-19 infection as the team had no access to samples of COVID-19 patients for laboratory test with the syrup.
A good step in the right channel.
